Bipolar Belong
Founded by: Michel Le Roux & Nathalie MacCarthy
Community-driven neuroinclusion at work
We - Nathalie & Michel - are Bipolar & Belong, a community-led initiative focused on neuroinclusion in the workplace, rooted in bipolar lived experience. We bring together an international network of over 22,000 members, creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
We combine coaching, advocacy and workplace facilitation to translate lived experience into practical, accessible approaches for organisations.
What we focus on
Our work centres on bipolar inclusion as a gateway to broader NEUROINCLUSION.
We support organisations to:
-
better understand neurodivergent experiences
-
reduce stigma and increase psychological safety
-
support constructive and voluntary disclosure
-
enable people to contribute fully at work
This responds to a clear reality: neurodiversity is already present in organisations, but often remains invisible and under-supported.
What makes our contribution distinct
We bring a lived experience–led approach to neuroinclusion.
Our work is grounded in:
-
real voices and community insight
-
practical, conversation-based formats
-
a strengths-driven perspective on neurodiversity
-
a focus on both human and organisational impact
Rather than treating neuroinclusion as a compliance topic, we position it as a driver of engagement, performance and innovation.
The Box of Belonging
That is the name of our Neuroinclusive platform, community-driven, evidence-based and pragmatic.
We help organisations open the conversation and build awareness through accessible entry points, including:
-
introductory workshops
-
interactive formats
-
coaching and facilitated discussions
These formats are designed to make neurodiversity tangible, discussable and actionable.
At the core of our approach is the Box of Belonging board, an interactive experience-based role playing-board game.
It enables teams to explore:
-
lived workplace experiences
-
common misconceptions
-
cognitive strengths
-
practical inclusion challenges
By creating shared understanding, it helps shift perspectives from awareness to action.
What this can lead to
From initial awareness, organisations can develop their neuroinclusion approach through:
-
assessments and diagnostics
-
leadership and manager development
-
ambassador programmes
-
learning and capability building
-
implementation of inclusive practices
This contributes to measurable impact across key areas such as psychological safety, retention, performance and innovation.
How we fit within the Synarchy ecosystem
Within Synarchy, we act as a catalyst for neuroinclusion journeys.
We bring:
-
community insight and lived experience
-
accessible “start simple” formats
-
strong engagement on sensitive topics
Our work connects naturally with broader capabilities such as learning design, leadership development and organisational transformation.
Where to go next
A typical starting point is an Introduction to Neuroinclusion session, designed to open dialogue and create shared understanding.
From there, organisations can scale their approach based on their needs and maturity.
Neuroinclusion is not a trend.
It is a practical pathway to more human, inclusive and high-performing organisations.
