Strategic support for student recruitment, retention and educational positioning
reCourse grew out of the realities of higher education rather than from a theoretical model. It emerged after years of close work with degree programmes, teaching teams and recruitment challenges that could not be solved with standard campaigns alone. Again and again, the same pattern appeared: institutions were being asked to attract and retain students in a far more complex environment, while many teams were still working with fragmented tools, limited time and communication that no longer matched the student experience.

Founded by Dimitri Le Roux and developed within the wider Synarchy ecosystem, reCourse was created to offer a more responsive way forward. It supports programmes and institutions with strategic thinking, practical communication development and tailored guidance around student recruitment, retention and educational visibility.
Closer to the programme, closer to the truth
What makes reCourse distinct is the level at which it works. It does not stay at a generic institutional distance. It looks closely at the programme itself: its story, its strengths, its internal dynamics, its student journey, its visibility and the obstacles that make growth harder than it needs to be. That closer view tends to reveal far more than broad campaigns ever can.

The result is a more grounded kind of support. Instead of imposing a standard formula, reCourse helps programmes understand what is actually happening, what prospective students are really responding to, where teams are getting stuck, and how communication, positioning and internal alignment can start reinforcing one another again.
Built from practice, not from abstraction
reCourse is rooted in lived higher education experience. Its foundations were shaped through years of work around recruitment and enrolment at Hogeschool Inholland, where Dimitri supported both larger domains and individual programmes with positioning, campaign development, content, activation and strategic guidance. Over time, that work developed into a clearer method: one that brings research, storytelling, communication planning and implementation into the same conversation.

That practical origin matters. It means reCourse understands the everyday pressure on education teams. It knows that many programmes do not need more theory. They need clearer choices, usable formats, stronger communication and support that respects both institutional reality and limited capacity.
A smarter route for educational growth
reCourse works across themes such as student recruitment, retention, programme positioning, campaign support, communication planning, team guidance and educational content. It also connects naturally with newer questions in education, including AI literacy, blended learning, public communication and the translation of complex subject matter into accessible student facing narratives.

Its work is often especially valuable for programmes in technology, ICT, business and innovation related fields, though the wider method can travel well across disciplines. The focus remains the same: helping educational offers become easier to understand, easier to trust and better equipped to attract the right students while supporting them more thoughtfully once they arrive.
Part of something larger
As an initiative under Synarchy Foundation, reCourse is not limited to one person’s expertise alone. It can stand independently, but it also has access to a wider network of collaborators, specialists and adjacent strengths. That makes it possible to scale support more intelligently when needed, whether the question touches communication, learning design, AI, policy, workshops or broader strategic development.

This connection to Synarchy also reflects the spirit in which reCourse was built. It is collaborative by design. It recognises that educational challenges rarely belong to one discipline only, and that better solutions often emerge when communication, teaching, strategy and human insight are allowed to work together.
Where a first conversation can lead
A collaboration with reCourse may begin with a recruitment challenge, a retention concern, a positioning question or the need for clearer programme communication. From there, the work can develop into a stronger communication plan, a sharper student facing story, better content, new internal tools, or a broader development route involving other Synarchy expertise.

reCourse offers educational institutions a practical entry point into change. Not louder communication for its own sake, but a more thoughtful way of understanding what a programme is, who it serves, and how that story can be carried with more clarity, confidence and effect.
